Franz und Frau Schneider is a young alternative folk band from Germany. Written and composed on five different continents, their music contains a contagious sense of wanderlust and soulfulness. What started as a trio containing the three music graduates lead singer? Franz Rothe, pianist Vivian Schneider and their allrounder Lukas Hofmann, has turned into a nomadic and ever-changing ensemble of musicians from Europe and the US. Lately, the group around the Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter Franz was joined by drummer Felix Franz and guitarist Max Rothe - both from the German alternative band [pi!] – as well as the renowned jazz guitarist Julian Gramm.
Their 2013 debut album Away was described as "a wonderful album for dreaming" (popperblog.de), "a huge inspiration" (the Lifestyle R&R Brooklyn) and "an energy of surprising depth" (musikfueruns.de). After having played two successful tours throughout Western Europe, as well as shows in the US and a concert series in Nepal, Franz & Frau Schneider released their second album Reset in October 2015 before embarking on their third and most expansive Europe tour through Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands and France.
